2013: A Year of Pups! We usually get a couple pup litters a year into our shelter. 2013 saw a virtual flood of tiny feet (more than 50 pups!) which strained our shelter, foster, medical, and adoptive systems. Thanks to wonderful (and patient) people out there, we adopted them all out to wonderful homes. We do like to stay in touch to reinforce the crucial socialization and training activities that shape pups into great canine citizens. Below is one recent adopter's report: "Hi Brightside! Rizzy has been doing great! She's meeting lots of new people and is a pro at playing fetch now! She loves chasing birds and barking at the cows behind our back fence. We gave her a few bones for Christmas and not only does she spend hours chewing them but she tried to hide them all over the house including under the Christmas tree skirt! Our boys thought that was hilarious. Our daughter just loves Rizzy too and has been found cuddling with her on Rizzy's bed. We are loving her!"
