CAT OF THE WEEK! KITTY is a super sweet, calico girl who’s been with us for a few weeks now. She spent her first 8 years as an only pet in a loving home with a senior lady. When her ‘mom’ could no longer care for her, Kitty came to stay here at Brightside. It took her a while to adjust to the change, but now she’s getting very comfortable and has found some favorite spots in our sunny community room. When you come in to visit, she is one of the first to come greet you, looking to share a little TLC and probably hoping for a treat as well. Kitty has spent her life indoors and would prefer to stay that way. She would be just fine as an only pet, but she will adjust to another companion cat or mellow dog if introduced properly. Our adoption counselors will be happy to give you suggestions on that. She is mellow enough for children to interact as well, as long as they are gentle and reasonably calm. If you have been thinking you need an adoring lap cat in your life, please come in and meet Kitty. She could definitely be the perfect companion cat you’ve been dreaming about.
