From Cower to … Chaos! The sweet border collies who come to our shelter first start out cowering, shutting down, not moving much….we care for them and recognize that once out they probably will be balls of fire and joy and brains (our crystal balls are only so clear)…It's usually a massive transformation and we await with baited breath for the first reports. Here is one: "Hi Brightside! Here is a quick update on Anna. Our first week together has been great. Exhausting, but great! She has so much personality, and so much energy. She's a very entertaining companion, that's for sure! I will be changing her name I think as it's too similar to my own, and as she's still so young I think it should be fairly easy for her to learn a new one. I haven't decided on anything yet. For now she's stuck with a bunch of nicknames (Sweet Pea, Chaos, Wiggle Worm, and so on.) She is settling in well. She gets a little more comfortable, and trusts me a little more each day. We have developed a routine which she has already learned, and it seems to give her a feeling of security. I am having such a great time getting to know her, and learning all the little things that make her uniquely Her. She's just darling, and such a lot of fun to be around. Her favorite toy is a red and green braided tug toy that she tears around the yard with, throws it in the air and pounces on. I'm really so glad to have this little girl.
