Hi Brightside! Sampson (formerly Scout) and also known as Sammy, Sampies, Sampers, and Lover Boy is doing quite well in his new home. Its been an adjustment for all of us but we're figuring it out. Its like having an infant overnight without the 9 months of prep! :) We are in love with this dog. He is already a part of the family and gets spoiled to death. Some of his favorite things to do are cuddle on the sofa with us when we watch movies – he watches too! And he loves this little rope toy we got him along with Tator the Gator squeeky toy. He likes to tear around the backyard with them whipping them up in the air and then pouncing on them. We found it works best to let him sleep in our room with us in his crate with the door open and I set my alarm for the middle of the night and bring him outside to pee/poop then bring him back in. He seems quite content with this arrangement. Yes, there have been accidents, but he is a puppy and we expected that. We can already see what a smart dog he is though, and I know he will learn fast. He already knows how to sit, lie down, and we are working on "stay". Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for all your help and advice. I'm sure I'll be calling on you again in the future and maybe one day we'll pop into the shelter to say hello! Thanks again! Kristi
