Shera Finds Her Home! Dr. Cheryl Byrd is a superstar in our eyes and we get the pleasure of her helping our animals here at BrightSide. So when Shera came in almost two years ago ending up three legged with a host of medical issues we weren't surprised that it was Dr. Byrd that swooped in and got her back up to health. But the shelter life took a toll on Shera, and the chaos that sometimes happens at BrightSide was too much for her and we started to see her simply stop living. Que Dr. Byrd yet again. She took Shera into her home and has been fostering her ever since. Shera has been loving life and being the cat she deserves to be! But we still some day wanted to find her a permanent home because as we know, there are so many other ones that Dr. Byrd can help too. Yesterday a miracle by the name of Celelia walked through our doors looking for a kitty that fit Shera and we instantly called Dr. Byrd. Celelia wasn't afraid of only 3 legs, she just wanted someone that needed a bit more love and care. Thank you Celelia for giving our Shera a chance. It's people like you that give our animals the happy stories they deserve. Congratulations to Shera and Celelia on becoming a great new family!
