We wanted to share a bit more about Kip's story and his adopter Jamey ~ a story worth sharing! Brindle is Beautiful! We took Kip a few months back from the Madras shelter. Kip has a gentle soul and gets along with other dogs; a magnificent family dog beloved by all in the shelter. There is personality and there are looks — apparently there is not a big "market" for mid size brindle boys in Central Oregon. The same day that a vet tech told us that Kip had lost several pounds in the last week (shelter stress, depression), we got an online application from Jamey that spoke of love, commitment, responsibility,…, and love of brindle-coated dogs. Jamey's family had just lost to cancer their two brindle dogs and when looking online from their Portland home, Kip's photos, bio, and video spoke to them. We chatted, we agreed, and Jamey drove over, met Kip, and took him home. We warned Jamey that Kip may never have seen the inside of a home (or a couch!), and Jamey smiled and said, "It's all good…we'll work on everything together." And that was that; two big-hearted beings rode back together to Portland. Thank you, Jamey, and kisses to you, Sweet Kip.
