Looking for a fun way to make a difference in a shelter dog’s life? Our Dog Day Out Program gives adoptable dogs the chance to take a much-needed break from the shelter environment and spend quality time with members of our community.
Whether it’s walking around your block, a relaxing afternoon at home, a hike on the trails, or an adventure around town, even a few hours away from the shelter can have a tremendous impact. These outings help reduce stress, build confidence, provide valuable enrichment, give our team important insight into how each dog behaves, and get them in front of adoptable animals.
