Bookah's first 24 hours on the Farm "I think Bookah really did well today, given all I asked of him. He did great with meeting Diego. And was fine around all the animals. But I will watch him, because that may be just because all of it is so new. He learned how to ride in the back of the truck when going down to the barn. And he is learning to stay in the extra cab section of the truck, not to get in the drivers seat. He barked a warning this evening, as something in the woods bothered him. The biggest problem was finding him a place to sleep. He wanted to get in the pick up and go home. He didn't like it in the back hall (in the house). And he is NOT using a crate. Either he was born that way or he has had a bad experience with crates and even dogs houses. We will have to work on that. I hope eventually he can get in the nice dog house I have. I finally opened the man door on the barn near the house. I put a bed in it. He was comfortable and I think it was the best solution. Did the owners mention having him in a crate all the time? He is already a farm dog. Got in the little pond by the house and rolled in the llama poop." Thanks again, Era Congrats to Bookah and his new family! Keep up the great work Bookah, we know you will be a great farm dog (even with a little llama poop on you).
