CAT OF THE WEEK! Whoever said Big is Beautiful must have been talking about our Miss FLUFFY. She’s our biggest and one of our most beautiful girls. Fluffy came to us back in March when her owner could no longer care for her. That was not an easy adjustment after 12 years in the only home she had ever known. It took her awhile to get used to things here at BrightSide, but now she’s settled in and you can often find her in her bed by the window or strolling down the hall in hopes of getting a head scratch or maybe even a snack. Obviously Fluffy is a senior, like many of us, but she is healthy and has several good years left. She would much prefer to spend those years in a loving family home, not an animal shelter. Fluffy has lived indoors all her life and is not too savvy about the cold cruel world, so keeping her in would be best. She has lived with dogs and young children and is quite easy to get along with. She’s fine with the other cats here at the shelter as long as they give her some space. Her medium long fur will need occasional brushing to keep her looking her fluffy best. Cat brushing is a very relaxing activity, you know. Fluffy would be a wonderful companion cat in a fairly quiet home or even in an assisted living situation. She is quiet, independent, and spends quite a bit of the day napping. She would love to snuggle on the sofa with you while you read the paper or watch your favorite TV shows. You might have to give her a boost up, though. Big girls can’t jump too high. Fluffy is patiently waiting to meet her new family so she can get on to her next life – so come visit her soon.
