Luca was found wandering lost and alone as a stray back in October of 2013. When she came into the shelter it was obvious that something was amiss with her left eye. Our vet determined there was a tumor growing in there and the eye had to be removed. Luca recovered quickly and has been hanging out in our cat colony room for the past couple of months. She got along fine and made some friends, but wasn't all that happy here. This weekend, a beautiful 7 yr old girl came in to find a new cat companion and Luca was the lucky one she picked. On Saturday this sweet girl came in with a brand new pink cat carrier to take Luca home. Luca walked right into that carrier and went home to start the next, and best, chapter of her life.
