Pearl says goodbye to her mentor, Susan! Little Pearl came into our shelter as a stray, very shy and scared. Susan (left) took her under her wing to help her gain the confidence and trust she needed to be ready for her new home. Along came Alexa and her Mom and the adoption was complete! Have a happy life Pearl! A special thanks to Susan and other staff members and volunteers who go the extra mile to make sure our furry friends are ready for adoption. This means spending extra hours with a scared dog or cat, possibly fostering and working with them for days or weeks. Most often a bond is formed and then they're faced with having to say good bye. It can be heartbreaking and happy at the same time. We've got the best staff and volunteers and couldn't be high-save without every one of them!
