Linda Lue beats the odds in fospice care

By March 10, 2013 No Comments

Linda Lue arrived at BrightSide as a stray in November. No one came to claim this sweet old gal – she was one-eyed, deaf and with inoperable breast cancer, and then family-less. That is until her heroes Cindi and Joe came on the scene to help this gal out in BrightSide’s fospice (foster hospice) program for soft landings.

Cindi recently shared this: “Lue Lue came to us from BrightSide as a foster/fospice dog in Nov, for a soft place to land in her final days. Naturally I thought she would only be with us for a month or so. Initially, Joe (my husband) wasn’t too crazy about the idea, but quickly fell in love with her & now spoils her rotten! Apparently Lue Lue didn’t get the memo that she wasn’t supposed to live long because she’s still with us & going strong 4 months later! She is full of personality and keeps us laughing all the time & has both of us wrapped around her little paw.”

FOUR PAWS UP for fospice families like Cindi and Joe for giving these sweet souls a dignified and comfortable end of life. Pass The Kleenex!!!
