Urban border collie heaven! Smith, a spectacular border collie from Burns, came to us recently. Amongst those expressing interest was Caroline – a woman who owned her own business in Portland, worked from home, had a husband who worked a ton outside the home, and had grown up with border collies. She wanted an active companion to accompany her to the beach, to agility classes, to….everywhere! We talked first, woman and dog met, and below is Caroline's report: "James (formerly Smith) is doing great! I don't have a lot of pictures of him because we're always out having fun– too busy to take photos. We spent a weekend at the beach with my mom and had a blast! It took James a little while to leave small dogs and cats alone while we were walking the neighborhood, but in just one week he made huge improvements and continues to do so! He has even made a couple dog friends and he's very polite with people as well as small children. We absolutely adore James!!! It feels like he's always been ours.
