We had to say goodbye to another special fospice dog! Gus, the Beagle, came to us when his owner passed away. Being a senior with some medical issues, he was continually overlooked. Maureen, one of our long time volunteers spent her days with Gus up front in the reception area. One day she said well if no ones going to take him home, I will. That was almost three years ago and he had the best home a Beagle could ask for. None of us had any idea he would live that long, but again it goes to show, if you're having fun and loving life, it gives these fospice dogs a renewed energy for life. Thank you Kurt and Maureen for giving Gus such a happy place to live out his final years and we're very sorry for your loss.
